What kind of training do agricultural advisors need ?
Interview with Guillaume Pasquier, former ESA student
Today, we’re delighted to present the story of Guillaume Pasquier, a former ESA student who chose to try his hand abroad.
Guillaume Pasquier is an agricultural engineer specializing in international trade, agro-economics, agricultural policy and geopolitics. Now a Senior Advisor with the Farm Products Council of Canada (Government of Canada), he credits his experience at ESA as a big part of his success.
Become an agricultural engineer
Guillaume, who holds a Bac S and a BCPST Véto preparatory diploma, chose ESA for its multidisciplinary approach to engineering training. Attracted by the possibility of approaching the agricultural sector from a scientific, economic and sociological angle, he knew that ESA would give him a global and practical vision of the sector.
Right from the start of his higher education, Guillaume was determined to follow an international path. This ambition was made possible by ESA, which enabled him to do internships and study stays in several countries (France, Ireland, England, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Canada, Thailand and China).
Thanks to his extensive experience abroad, Guillaume was able to settle in Canada in 2017. Thanks to this decision, which is the result of a balance between his personal and professional life, he has been able to continue to develop in a multicultural context.
