Today, we’re pleased to highlight the inspiring journey of Alexandre Piperoglou, an ESA alumnus who has succeeded in advancing and positioning himself in a professional field as head of pest and disease prevention.

In the field of agriculture, Alexandre Piperoglou, a recent engineering graduate from ESA, tells us about his international career. His expertise and skills have taken him from the greenhouses of southern France to the fields of Mexico. As head of pest and disease prevention at Red Sun Farms in Mexico, his journey highlights the opportunities and international influence that an ESA education can bring.

Become an agricultural engineer

After starting his engineering course at another school, Alexandre decided to continue his studies at ESA to benefit from a comprehensive education combining a solid scientific foundation with a cross-disciplinary agricultural orientation. His choice was reinforced by the school’s reputation for excellence in horticulture and greenhouse cultivation.

Because of the importance of international exposure and professional networking, Alexandre chose to continue his career path internationally. Thanks to this decision, he was able to explore different greenhouse production methods in Mexico, studying the particular configurations adapted to each environment and national economy.

« This experience has enabled me to acquire new skills, but it has also given me greater autonomy and confidence. »

This opportunity also developed valuable contacts within the professional horticultural community. The experience encouraged him to move away from his comfort zone, giving him the opportunity to face new challenges and broaden his perspectives.

Alexandre urges her fellow students to explore experiences abroad, highlighting the international recognition of their engineering degree and the rewarding professional development opportunities that come with it. In her opinion, it’s essential to leave one’s comfort zone in order to progress both personally and professionally.
